Paint Recycling

Innovative Latex Paint Recycling

Developed though a successful partnership this process has allowed us to recycle large volumes of latex paint instead of it ending up in landfills. The recycled paint is then reused in the cement manufacturing process.

Two facilities have been created to provide the highest environmental outcomes for the management of paint through Western and Northern Canada.

OTHER RECYCLABLES FROM THIS PROCESS

  • Plastic containers generated from the bulking of latex paint are dried, stored and then transported to a suitable plastics recycler.
  • Metal containers generated from the bulking of the latex paint are dried, stored and then transported to a suitable metal recycler.

Paint Blending Process – Raw feedstock destined for the cement kiln is utilized to blend with the latex paint prior to being shipped as a product to the cement plant.
